The FOREVER® platform allows you to organize and identify people and events across the history of families and organizations. Here are some examples of how you can use FOREVER to organize and preserve histories of importance in your life.

YOU CAN PRESERVE THE PRESENT.

Show a family event in a single FOREVER Album. Or present it in a group of Albums, nested inside the main Album. As shown below, they serve as the four high school graduation weekend “chapters.” The main Album begins with an introduction, then displays titles and thumbnails of each of the four nested Albums.

Below: Upon opening, each Album reveals all of its images, along with an introduction and the event’s date. Click on any image to bring up the Album’s “Light Table,” shown at right.

Above: The Light Table view enlarges the image in the correct aspect ratio and provides a panel for entering essential data. Add as much or as little storytelling information as you wish.

Below: The “Miscellaneous” Album shows that you can add keepsake documents (.jpg or .pdf formats) that otherwise are likely to disappear over time. In this case, they include scans of the graduation invitation, diploma, and commencement program. By saving the program as a multi-page PDF document, FOREVER® allows you to scroll through each document page (see above, right).

YOU CAN HONOR THE PAST.

When you show and tell stories of your parents, grandparents, and other ancestors in FOREVER,® you will bring them to life for your family and future generations. Even if you have only a few photos and facts about an ancestor, what you do have is something of value that is well worth recording. Family members today, or those in the future who might be interested in family history — even genealogy — will appreciate your efforts.

If you have access to photos, documents, and information that reveals a relative’s life story, you can divide it into “chapters” using FOREVER’s Nested Albums feature, which you see below.

You don’t have to be a writer to create a family history. Short text is fine, or you can even use bullet points to record any information you have. This information will help family members today, or in the future, if they are researching your family’s history
